The Traveller Sculpture

This is the the traveller sculpture created by Bruno Catalano. This sculpture depicts the image of a man wearing a Polo shirt, trousers, and leather shoes, holding a briefcase, as if rushing on his way. However, what is striking is that the middle part of the traveler’s body seems to have been partially extracted, leaving behind a series of voids and hollows.

Marseille, France, on behalf of France, was selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2013.
