Antique Bronze Censer

This is the antique bronze censer. The sculpture shows the “Indian Incense Burner” (1920) created by the artist Marvina Hoffman (American, 1885-1966). It depicts a young man sitting on his leg in exotic clothes, holding a bowl full of incense on his leg, and he is on the half-moon base on the back of three elephants.

The Indian censer of Malvina Hoffman was completed in 1920 and was modeled by the dancer Serge Oukrainsky.
