Indian Riding Horse Statue

It is a bronze Indian riding horse statue. This sculpture was designed and produced by Alexander Phimister Proctor and named Pursued. An Indian on horseback was chased by an “invisible enemy”. He looked back from his left shoulder, as if the enemy would catch up at any time, giving a feeling of real fear and despair. In order to add additional dangerous elements, the horse looks like it is going downhill. Even if the ground looks slightly inclined, the horse’s hips will rise.

In 1900, Alexander Physicer Proctor specially introduced some of the most praised residents in the northern plains. He first published a set of eight dramatic pastel drawings known as A Bunch of Buckskins, one of the highlights of which he titled A Cheyenne Buck.

Size of the sculpture: 46*58*30 cm
