Three Saints of The West

This three saints of the west is made of stone. The Three Sages of the West refer to Amitabha Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. Amitabha Buddha is the leader and teacher of the Western Paradise.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva are his two great threats, equivalent to his right and left hands, and assist Amitabha Buddhism to transform all living beings.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva represents great compassion, and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva represents great joy and generosity. The two Bodhisattvas together represent the “four immeasurable hearts” often talked about in Buddhism: kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity.
