The Legend of Green Tara in buddhism
Legend has it that White Tara and Green Tara are the embodiment of two tears from Guanyin Bodhisattva, while Green Tara is the embodiment of tears from Guanyin Bodhisattva’s right eye. Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva came to save sentient beings through boundless tribulations, but they still frequently indulged in the sea of suffering from the five desires of life and death, and the six paths of reincarnation suffered from infinite suffering. Bodhisattva couldn’t help but quietly shed tears because of his compassion for the common people.
At this moment, the tears in his left eye immediately turned into white tara, and the tears in his right eye turned into green tara, Everyone clasped their palms respectfully and said in unison to Guanyin Bodhisattva, “Bodhisattva, don’t worry. We pledge to share the sorrow and wish of saving all sentient beings who flow through the sea of life and death.” Therefore, Tara is the embodiment of Guanyin’s tears of sorrow.

Holding the Umbara flower (blue lotus) in the right hand, place it outward in front of the knee, with the palm facing outward, and make a vow seal. This seal symbolizes giving, making wishes come true, giving protection, and universal blessings, symbolizing fearlessness, compassion, and fulfillment of wishes to all sentient beings;
The left hand also picked up a blooming Ubala flower (blue lotus) and placed it on the chest to make a Three Treasure Seal. The index finger of the three raised fingers represents a Buddhist treasure, the middle finger represents a magical treasure, and the little finger represents a monk treasure. Touching with the thumb and ring finger signifies both compassion and intelligence;
